Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad is said to be writing to President Jokowi to express his concern regarding the haze of forest fires that have contaminated parts of the neighboring coun
try.
"I have discussed this with PM Mahathir and he agreed to write a letter to President Jokowi to draw attention to the issue of cross-border haze," Energy, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin told reporters in Kuala Lumpur, Thursday (12/9).

The spread of smog continues to deteriorate following the increase in hotspots of forest and land fires in Sumatra and Kalimantan this year, especially during the dry season.
