President Trump said Sunday he's not planning to shoot Special Counsel Robert Mueller

President Trump said Sunday he's not planning to shoot Special Counsel Robert Mueller -- even as Trump lawyers raised objections to Mueller obtaining emails from Trump transition officials into his own analysis into if they colluded with Russian representatives. Returning from Camp David on Sunday night, Trump told reporters he's not pleased with how in which the investigation has been handled -- and that transition mails were improperly turned over to investigators.

"Not looking good. It's not looking great. It's quite sad to see that. My people were very upset to find that," Trump said. "A lot of lawyers thought that was pretty sad."Trump was reacting to a complaint that the General Services Administration had turned over to investigators tens of thousands of pages of emails to and from Trump transition officials. The GSA is responsible for conducting presidential transitions, and the Trump officials were using government email accounts.

Trump transition lawyer Kory Langhofer complained to congressional committees that the mails should not have been flipped over. But the GSA maintains that they were government documents.Trump also said that he was convinced that he emails would not show any evidence that his effort or transition groups colluded with Russia in the 2016 election. "I can't imagine there is anything on these, frankly, since we mentioned, there's no collusion." He explained.

Mueller's investigation has led to guilty pleas by former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and effort foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos for lying to the FBI. Former Trump effort chairman Paul Manafort and his deputy Rick Gates have been indicted because of their activities calling for foreign governments, such as Ukraine. Trump said he'd spoken to the spouse of the sickly Arizona senator, who returned to Arizona Sunday to continue receiving treatment for brain cancer."I wish John well. I understand he will come if we ever wanted his vote, which hopefully we won't," Trump said. "He is going through a really tough time, no question about it."

► Cuba sanctions. Trump said Cuba continued to violate human rights and could be subject to ongoing U.S. sanctions."Hopefully everything will normalize with Cuba, but right now, they are not doing the proper thing. And if they don't do the ideal thing, we are not going to do the right thing," Trump said. "That is all there's to it. We have to be strong with Cuba. The Cuban men and women are incredible men and women. They encourage me quite closely. But we'll get Cuba straightened out."
