Antonio Brown taken to hospital, ruled out of Steelers game with calf injury

Since the Steelers attempt to topple the Patriots and fasten the No. 1 seed in the AFC, they'll be with their best weapons. Receiver Antonio Brown was ruled out for the rest of Sunday night's match and carried to a hospital for additional evaluation to get a calf injury, the group announced. Following a crash at the end zone after an attempted pass, Brown landed awkwardly and seemed to prefer his left foot and ankle. He was assisted off the field, not placing any weight on the foot.

When Brown got to the sideline, '' he attempted assessing the leg with the aid of healthcare coaches, putting a bit more weight on it, but had been considerably hobbling. Trainers escorted him into the hospital, where he stayed for a brief while, until he was shot into the Steelers locker room. CBS later reported that he failed X-rays. Having a reception before in the match, he became the first player in NFL history with 100 or more receptions in five successive seasons.
