Democrats Will Be Consolidated with 3 Other Parties

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Democratic Party Agus Hermanto denied the meeting between the chairman of his party, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) with Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto discussed the 2019 Presidential Election (Pilpres). According to Agus, the meeting held at SBY's residence talked about the presidential treshold. 

'Actually in that meeting Democrats with Gerindra did not discuss the president and vice president for the 2019 presidential election. But regarding the approved presidential treshold,' said Agus, when met at the Parliament Complex on Tuesday (1/8). 

But the Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives (DPR) RI did not dismiss the Democratic Party will consolidate in preparation for Presidential Election. Agus said, not only with Gerindra, his side will also communicate with a number of party refusal of presidential treshold, such as Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and also National Mandate Party (PAN). 

'Then maybe we will do more intense consolidation, Tidan only with Mr. Prabowo, but also Mr. Amien Rais and others,' said Agus. 

Previous four parties, Democrats, Gerindra, PKS and PAN rejected the implementation of presidential treshold in the 2019 presidential election later. They reasoned that the presidential threshold was irrelevant because the legislative and 2019 presidential elections were held simultaneously.
