Review: LG G6 Alluring with Audio and Camera
KompasTekno had tested the LG G6 series pre-release in Indonesia in a long time, about three weeks. During that time we also feel the various shortcomings and advantages LG G6.
About the advantages that KompasTekno feel atara other form of smooth smartphone performance, the camera with clear shots, battery life up to the day, and the design of the screen is pleasing to the eye.
Meanwhile the perceived shortcomings include fingerprint scanner that tends to be less accurate, rear casing that was easily scratched, and Snapdragon chipset 821.
Design
LG designed the G6 with a 5.7 inch screen that covers about 80 percent of the front of the phone. The bezel or frame on the right and left edges of the screen looks very thin. Then the screen ratio is pegged at 18: 9, similar to Samsung Galaxy S8.
The design is so unique, especially considering that most phones use 16: 9 screen ratios. But the ratio of 18: 9 is precisely one of the advantages of interest because the content can be displayed in a broader field.
For example when reading a news site it will feel that the screen is so long and loads more. Likewise when opening social media.
Unfortunately not all apps can take advantage of this 18: 9 screen. Most games will come with a black box on the right and left of the screen even in full-screen mode.
The user still has an option. LG gives the app scaling option to change the display scale. There are three that can be chosen, namely 16: 9, 16.7: 9 or 18: 9.
