If Jakarta Is No Longer Became The Capital Of The Country ...

The Government through the Ministry of National Development Planning / National Development Planning Agency continues to study the removal of the capital of the Indonesian state, which is currently located in DKI Jakarta.  If it really moved later, what would be our Jakarta city like? 

Chairman of the Indonesian Planning Experts Association (IAP) Bernardus Djonoputro said there would not be much change in the city that used to be called Batavia.  'In fact, Jakarta will become a stronger business city, nothing has changed from the economic side,' Bernardus told Kompas.com on Sunday (9/7/2017).Bernardus further said that environmental challenges will remain a problem that must be faced this megapolitan. 

'Pollution, soil decline, so Jakarta must keep the deal with the problem now, there is or no capital city in Jakarta,' he said. 

Thus, Bernadus said, what needs to be done remains the same, the city government still has to think about stopping groundwater degradation, building effective shelter with the integration of public transportation mode or Transit Oriented Development (TOD), and so on. 

Previously, the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) is reportedly reviewing the planned removal of the capital. The two main points studied are the total financing needs and the financing scheme. 

Head of Bappenas Bambang Brodjonegoro said the government wants to minimize the state budget expenditure (APBN) in the planned removal of this capital city. Thus, the government will encourage the private sector in funding this plan. 

'We are working on the scheme, just scheme the cooperation between the government and business entities,' said Bambang, in Jakarta, Wednesday (5/7/2017).

Inside the financing scheme it will also be regulated on land tenure schemes. The government is seeking the location of a new capital whose land ownership is in the government.
